This is our origin story
The Super Power Agency is not just a literacy charity (although we do that, of course). It's a powerful and mysterious entity that opens up portals in the space-time continuum to galaxies unknown!
We started our mission in 2016 to reach schools where our help was most needed. Since then we have published over 49 books of student writing. And engaged an elite crew of volunteers, who have supported a new generation of creative kids to take control of their own story. In this section you can find out about the background to our wonderful little organisation and discover our plans for new adventures.

We aim to improve self-esteem and aspiration via the most fundamental superpower – the ability to write.

Our aim
Working in some of Scotland’s most disadvantaged and under-resourced areas, we aim to make learning fun. Our workshops encourage and empower young people to put pen to paper, build their writing skills and to express themselves with confidence. In doing so, we hope no young person in Scotland will leave school without the confidence to write.
