All teachers are superheroes, but every superhero has a nemesis. We understand that keeping a large group of young people focused on learning day after day can feel like mission impossible. But fear not, the Super Power Agency is here to help in some way!

Our main aims are to promote literacy and plug the opportunity gaps before the confidence and aspirations of young learners escapes. Our amazing volunteers swoop down into your classroom, zapping the kids with highly-charged energy beams that can be the catalyst for a powerful creative reaction. Taking your classroom to another dimension allows the kids discover new worlds within themselves and the words to describe them! Read on to find out how our classroom sessions work in this reality.

Taking a topic for a walk

During our Young Writers/Young Voices project for S2-S5 pupils will explore a topic or subject allowing them to research, express opinions and build their writing skills. Throughout the eight weeks they will produce a piece of writing that will culminate in the production of a perfect bound book, with book launch. This is a testament to their hard work which helps bolster the pupils’ self esteem and confidence.
These workshops run for one hour a week and are created in consultation with school to support creativity and the teaching of writing skills.

Making the leap to High School less daunting

Designed to help P7 pupils make the adjustment from primary to high school, our Transition workshops take place during the last term of a pupil’s P7 year and the first term of their S1 year in high school. These workshops provide continuity, familiar faces, and writing support for pupils who are making a big change in their lives. We use creativity to help them process that change and start their high school experience with confidence.
